From October 28 – 31, 2024, Tbilisi State Medical University and Ingorokva High Medical Technologies University Clinic in Tbilisi, Georgia, was visited by three assessors from Germany, Türkiye/USA, and Greece and earned its Quality in Medical Care accreditation from Temos International.
Founded in 2009 by Professor Giorgi (Gocha) Ingorokva, M.D., PhD, the clinic, formerly known as the High Technologies Medical Center University, has become a leading institution in Georgia, known for its commitment to healthcare, education, and innovation. With 1,000 employees and 75,000 patients annually, it is a vital part of the Georgian healthcare system, offering both inpatient and outpatient services.
Since 2011, the clinic has been a pioneer in kidney transplantation and, since 2018, has provided exclusive bone marrow transplantation services. As a full member of the European Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation (EBMT), the clinic is actively working to establish a National Stem Cell Donor Bank and is seeking membership in the World Marrow Donor Association (WMDA) to advance life-saving transplantation services further.
The clinic is affiliated with Tbilisi State Medical University, hosting over 1,000 students annually and guiding 60 residency students in 11 medical fields. Since 2010, they have participated in over 250 multicenter, randomized clinical trials, contributing to advancements in medicine.
