Excellence in International Rehabilitation Care
Tailored for rehabilitation centers that actively serve international patients through planned cross-border medical travel.
This program recognizes providers that deliver exceptional, patient-centered rehabilitation services with cultural sensitivity, multilingual support, and seamless coordination across borders. It is ideal for organizations striving to achieve top-tier recognition in the global healthcare market by demonstrating excellence in both clinical care and the international patient experience.
Prerequisites for Excellence in International Rehabilitation Care accreditation:
- Conduct business as a licensed healthcare provider in your country for at least one completed financial year.
- Manage medical and non-medical services with a Continuous Quality Improvement system.
- Rehabilitation services are offered by expert doctors and therapists with respective credentials and privileges.
- Your “International Patient Department” offers comprehensive services including: pre-travel, on arrival, inpatient treatment, discharge, and post-treatment follow-up.
- Manage international patients and domestic medical travelers for at least two years.
- Ensure 24/7 access to multilingual staff (or interpreters) for patients and relatives.
- At least 10 % of your inpatients are domestic medical travelers and/or international patients.
- Your organization’s practices are in accordance with international standards of medical ethics, as stated in the World Medical Association (WMA) International Code of Medical Ethics.

The 3-year fees are for all professional services associated with accreditation but do not include travel and accommodation costs for the Temos assessors for on-site visits.
The “Excellence in International Rehabilitation Care” accreditation automatically includes the “Quality in Rehabilitation Care” certificate – successful organizations receive both certificates.
