Excellence in International Reproductive Care
Designed for providers offering comprehensive fertility and reproductive health services to international patients through planned medical travel. This program includes all standards from the “Quality” program, plus additional requirements tailored to meet the unique medical, emotional, and cultural needs of international patients. It addresses both outpatient and inpatient services and focuses on clinical excellence, patient and staff safety, effective communication, legal and ethical compliance, and outstanding patient experience management.
Successfully completing the “Excellence” program also grants accreditation under the “Quality” program—two recognitions in one.
Prerequisites for Excellence in International Reproductive Care accreditation:
- Conduct business as a licensed healthcare provider in your country offering reproductive care services according to national law for at least one completed financial year.
- Manage medical and non-medical services with a Continuous Quality Improvement system.
- Your “International Patient Department” offers comprehensive services including: pre-travel, on arrival, inpatient treatment, discharge, and post-treatment follow-up.
- Manage international patients and domestic medical travelers for at least two years.
- Ensure 24/7 access to multilingual staff (or interpreters) for patients and relatives.
- At least 10 % of your inpatients are domestic medical travelers and/or international patients.
- Cooperate with an affiliated hospital in case the fertility clinic is not located in a hospital.
- Your organization’s practices are in accordance with international standards of medical ethics, as stated in the World Medical Association (WMA) International Code of Medical Ethics.

The 3-year fees are for all professional services associated with accreditation but do not include travel and accommodation costs for the Temos assessors for on-site visits.
The “Excellence in International Reproductive Care” accreditation automatically includes the “Quality in Reproductive Care” certificate – successful organizations receive both certificates.

Quality in Reproductive Care
Developed for reproductive care practices, clinics, and hospitals to strengthen both clinical and non-clinical services for local, regional, and international patients. The program applies to both outpatient and inpatient care and covers key areas such as clinical quality management, patient and staff safety, patient experience, communication, and ethical standards. It takes a comprehensive approach that respects and responds to the individual medical, emotional, and cultural needs of patients, ensuring safe, high-quality care—including for unplanned or urgent reproductive services delivered to international patients..
Prerequisites for Quality in Reproductive Care accreditation:
- Conduct business as a licensed healthcare provider in your country offering reproductive care services according to national law for at least one completed financial year.
- Manage reproductive care and non-clinical services with a Continuous Quality Improvement system.
- Cooperate with an affiliated hospital in case the fertility clinic is not located in a hospital.
